Handcrafted in San Bartolo, Coyotepec, Oaxaca, a region known for the clay of faith, and clay of love, Barro Negro. This exquisite mini spice bowl with a unique spiked, hand-molded texture is a wonderful display to any tablescape. Made using a locally sourced clay, which is fired underground using an oxygen-free technique, resulting in a rich, black tone. 

Inspired by the Pochote, or Ceiba, trees are part of the landscape of Mexico, an important and sacred tree. Perfect for holding salt, or any other spices. It also makes an ideal as a small trinket holder.
