Intricately hand-carved clay bowl with Purepecha inspired motifs, and geometrical designs, this clay bowl is an exceptional representation of the artisanal craftsmanship from Zinapecuaro, Michoacan. Made with burnished clay which is locally sourced, and with the “Negative Imprint” technique, where the piece is pulled from the fire mid-process, cooled, painted, and then re-smoked for contrast and depth. 

Its color is a brilliant touch, capturing the carved ridges and emphasizing its delicate details, which contrasts with the raw, natural color and texture left by the clay.
