XL Capula Clay Cazuela, Serving Dish with Lid

Handcrafted Clay Serving Cazuela, X-Large Serving Dishes, Handmade in Capula, Michoacan.

This 13" clay cazuela, handcrafted in Capula, Michoacán, is perfect for cooking traditional Mexican guisos or any large-batch dish you want. The artisans use the capulineado technique, a detailed process where they hand-paint each piece using dots to create stunning, intricate patterns. Complete with a lid, this cazuela is not only a functional kitchen tool but also a beautiful display of Mexican craftsmanship. It’s a must-have for those who appreciate authentic, artisanal cookware and want to add a splash of culture to their cooking.

  • Using the unique Barro Capulineado technique, or Flor de Capulin, each dish features fine dots and colors hand-painted by free hand, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind.
  • All designs are one-of-a-kind.
  • Food-Safe and glazed: Hand-painted and made of premium-grade clay.
  • MEASUREMENTS:
13" diameter at the top, 8.5" diameter at the bottom, 4" tall
Holds approximately 2.5 quarts (10 cups).
  • Care: Although resistant to everyday use, these bowls are not dishwasher, stovetop, oven, or microwave safe. Handwash and airdry.

At Lolo - Mercadito we are committed to acknowledging the nature of each product. With each purchase, you get a unique and authentic piece handmade with love by artisans from Mexico. These are artisanal products. For this reason, there might be some flaws and variations in measurements and design.
