To create these vibrant pieces, artisans begin by mixing and kneading the clay. After kneading the clay, the potters create the base of the tree and mold the figurines that will be placed on it. All elements of the sculptures are made individually, so it can take anywhere from a week to months to finish a single tree of life, depending on the number of elements it contains and the artisan’s skills.
